Random Act of Kindness for Local Primary School

Random Act of Kindness

The teachers and support staff at Kirk Fenton Primary School received a surprise end of term treat on Random Act of Kindness Day when we delivered afternoon tea and cakes as a thank you for their hard work throughout the pandemic.

The 30 staff members had no idea we were dropping off the tasty treats arranged with headteacher, Karen Williams.

Karen was absolutely delighted when we approached her about the random act of kindness as her team have worked incredibly hard over the last few years, and knew it would be so appreciated.

We know these last few years have been incredibly tough for many people, but particularly those who have continued to be on the front line as key workers. The primary school is an integral part of our community, and the teachers and staff really have been local heroes. We wanted to give our thanks to them for doing such a brilliant job.

We were so happy to see how much the staff were surprised and pleased with their treat from the Pickle Postie!

Giving Back

As a business we do like to give back to the local community with regular community and charity work. Last year we delivered 50 afternoon teas to elderly residents on Random Act of Kindness Day, and have raised thousands of pounds for charities including the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity and Hollybank Trust and delivering 1000 meals to two local dog rescue centres.

So the question is, what’s next???
